About Us
The Nursery at Leyland is situated? on Royal Avenue off Fox Lane. The building is a single storey modern purpose built nursery and is independently run by us from within the Children?s Centre. It is registered by Ofsted for children aged between 0 and 5 years. We also run an?active holiday club?out of term time for children aged 4-11years. We provide an exciting and interesting program that cater for your individual child and keeps them happy and content throughout the school holidays. It is well equipped with all the facilities, toys and equipment necessary for a very busy and fun day at nursery. The large outside area is enclosed and offers many opportunities for outdoor learning.? ?We are committed to Continual Professional Development through regularly attending training courses relevant to our work. Prior to appointment, each member of staff is required to attend an interview were they must show a competent level of knowledge in all areas of Child Development and regard for Government Policy and Standards for Childcare. Following a successful interview two satisfactory references are required, Criminal Records Bureau checks are undertaken.?
Safeguarding children
Every childcare setting has a duty to ensure that each child attending their setting is safe, healthy and developing to their full potential. ?In order to support this The Nursery has adopted the Lancashire County Safeguarding Children?s Policy. Should staff have concerns for the well -being of any child we will act upon the guidance set out in this policy.
